The Pecan Wood Bakery, constructed in December, 2002, is a
teaching and fund raising studio located in the heart of the Austin
Hill Country on beautiful Lake Austin and is accessible by boat or
land. You are invited to take a virtual tour of the site to witness
the transition from an ordinary yard into the Gros Subdivision,
home of Lee and Mary Ann Gros. Here you can enjoy the native
landscape and relaxed atmosphere created around the
handsomely hand-crafted wood-fired brick oven built in the
traditional old-world style as described by Alan Scott of
Ovencrafters in his award winning book "The Bread Builders".
